Hereafter starts by meeting Amelia. Everyday since she can remember... she wakes up in the dark greenish black waters of the river, under the High Bridge Road bridge. Joshua and Amelia have so many obstacles to over come, without dealing with Eli. Eli, being the selfish ghost that he is, decides to give Amelia an ultimatum after she  gets creeped out by him appearing out of no where with his cold wind presence. As she keeps trying to figure out her past, Joshua is helping her figure out what to do next. I would love to keep going, but I don't want to give EVERYTHING away! I'm anxiously awaiting Arise. (Which I had to go out and buy right away after finishing Hereafter!) You will be completely intoxicated by Amelia's and Joshua's connection. Romance, Suspense, Ghosts, Undying devotion. Definitely a must read!
