Favorite New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2012
(Side note: We can't decide on any order..
so there isn't one! Just 10 new-to-me authors we now love!)

Author of the (Most popular) Lux Series and Covenant Series, She also has several other novels, and a few standalones. JLA is... I don't think there are enough words to describe how absolutely wonderful she is. We actually got a chance to meet her, this year too! Not only is she an amazing author, but she's so down to earth, kind-hearted, and super easy to talk to
Jennifer has written two of my favorite series of the year, not to mention three of my favorite book boyfriends. Jennifer has had me laughing, sighing, and crying all year.-Kait
Author of Paper Towns, The fault in our Stars, Looking for Alaska,  An abundance of Katherine and co-wrote Will Grayson, Will Grayson. The Fault in our stars was just named Book Of the Year, by Times Magazine!

I know there are a ton of YA lovers who have been following JG for years, but I hadn't jumped on the bandwagon yet. This year I picked up The Fault in Our Stars and fell in love. John Green is going to be one of my favorite authors for years to come. -Kait

Author of the Slammed Series and Hopeless. Colleen has introduced us to one of the best bands ever. The Avett Brothers. Talented and a realist, Colleen delivers novels that will completely amaze you.

Colleen started my obsession with contemporary novels this year. Slammed was my absolute favorite book of the year, and it's sequel Point of Retreat was amazing. I will read any and everything that she writes. -Kait

Abbi Glines
Author of the Sea Breeze series, Existence Series, and the Vincent Boys Series.
Abbi doesn't disappoint. Her Sea Breeze series is engrossing[and damn steamy!], and each book gets better! She made me fall in love with death in the Existence series and I'm sure I will keep falling in love with her characters. -Kait

Author of Transcend, the Requiem series. and a few other books.
After reading the hauntingly beautiful Transcend I knew that Christine Fonseca was a keeper. Her poetic writing style is gripping. One of my favorite things about Christine is the time she takes with her fans. She's an amazing author and person. -Kait

Jamie is pretty much a bookish household name after Beautiful Disaster blew up[LOVE TRAVIS!]. Her books are additive and emotional. Her Providence series is an all time favorite of mine as well. And I know I'm not the only one anxiously awaiting her next release! -Kait

Lauren Oliver

Author of the Delirium series, Before I fall, and a few childrens books.
When I read Delirium at the beginning of the year I was hooked on Lauren Oliver. I ran to the bookstore and bought Before I Fall and Pandemonium. I have loved each book as much, if not more, than the last. - Kait

Author of the Hereafter Trilogy. When I first saw Hereafter, I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about it. Then I read it. Holy Cow, did I love that story! Tara is currently on the 3rd novel in the trilogy (Elegy), and is expected to release June 4th, 2013. If you haven't read her novels yet, I highly suggest that you do! The author of the Winterhaven series. Kristi is an amazing writer, and makes you fall in love again with Vampires.
