Inbetween by Tara Fuller
Inbetween[Kissed by Death #1] by Tara Fuller
Rating: 4 out of 5
Expected publication: August 28th, 2012
Pages: 400
From Goodreads:
Since the car crash that took her father’s life three years ago, Emma’s life has been a freaky — and unending — lesson in caution. Surviving “accidents” has taken priority over being a normal seventeen-year-old, so Emma spends her days taking pictures of life instead of living it. Falling in love with a boy was never part of the plan. Falling for a reaper who makes her chest ache and her head spin? Not an option.
It’s not easy being dead, especially for a reaper in love with a girl fate has put on his list not once, but twice. Finn’s fellow reapers give him hell about spending time with Emma, but Finn couldn’t let her die before, and he’s not about to let her die now. He will protect the girl he loves from the evil he accidentally unleashed, even if it means sacrificing the only thing he has left…his soul.

What a great start to a series!
I loved Finn instantly. Emma was likable, but there was something holding me back from loving her. The connection between Finn and Emma[or lack thereof] was frustrating at first, but my waiting paid off. I enjoyed most of this book, and I had very few complaints.
The thing I find most amazing about this book was how much I fell for the secondary characters, especially Emma's best friend Cash. Usually the secondary characters are just background noise to me. I read that the next book will center on the other characters, I hope that's true. I would love to read about Cash, there's something about him that I really loved.
I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this new series.
