Just For Now by Abbi Glines

Just for Now by Abbi Glines
Title: Just For Now[Sea Breeze #4]
Author: Abbi Glines
Pages: 304
Rating: 4 out of 5
From Goodreads:
The day Preston Drake figured out that wealthy women paid well for a set of tight abs and a pretty face his life turned around.

The run down rat-infested trailer he had shared with his alcoholic mother and three younger siblings was now only a place he visited to pay the bills and stock the pantry with food.

He no longer worried about his family starving or living without electricity. The money he made entertaining rich older women more than covered his family’s needs and his own. He had it all figured out. Except…

There was this girl.

She was as innocent as he was tainted.

Amanda Hardy wished her knees didn’t get weak when Preston walked into a room. She hated the fact her heart raced when he flashed his smile in her direction. He had a different girl in his bed every night. He was the kind of boy a smart girl ran from. So, why was she coming up with ways to get close to him? Even when it was obvious he wanted to keep her at a distance.

Maybe her heart knew something the world didn’t. Maybe Preston Drake was more than just a pretty face.

Oh , Preston, you deliciously dirty boy. How could anyone resist you? Another amazing Sea Breeze story from Abbi Glines.

Wowza. This book opens with a bang, literally, and it really got my heart racing. I was a little shocked by some of the descriptions. Let's just say that this book earned the "mature" title. I thought that While it Lasts was steamy, but it has nothing on JFN. With that being said, I definitely liked the storyline and characters better in WiL.

Preston is great. He's a bad boy with a true heart of gold. I loved him, but I didn't love him as much as Cage. See, here I go comparing... There was just something missing with him. Maybe it was the fact that WiL was about a womanizing bad boy[Cage] and I thought the storyline should've been a little different.

I love Amanda. She's always been just Marcus' little sister, but she has really grown up. I like her better than all the other Sea Breeze girls, except Willow. She was likeable and easy to understand. You couldn't help but to feel for her when she was hurting.

The love story was great. It wasn't insta-love because we've met both characters before and Amanda has had her eyes on Preston for quite some time. I enjoyed seeing Preston fall for Amanda and try to do what he has to to take care of his siblings[so cute!].

I think the only thing that kept this book from the extra star was the familiarity and the lack of a twist. I guess that Preston's job is a little bit of a twist, but it wasn't enough after Because of Low and While it Lasts. Overall, it was a great read and I can't wait to see who else fall in love in Sea Breeze. My money is on Jess or Jason. Or possibly Jess & Jason? Whatever the case, I will be reading it!

Check out the Sea Breeze series:

Have you read any of the Sea Breeze books or another Abbi Glines book?
