Anna Dressed in Blood - Kendare Blake

Anna Dressed in Blood - Kendare Blake
♥♥♥♥ ½
Anna dressed in blood, was truly original and delivers a power punch to your stomache. Kendare Blake really stepped out of the paranormal comfort zone with this one! I not only liked the concept of this book, but when an author tells it how it is, curse words and all... It just makes me respect the book that much more. Lets face it, in this day and age the word "Fuck" isn't such a horrible word. It's just another common word in the English language, used in every day normal life. Not being afraid of putting swears in a YA book is seriously awesome. The things these kids do now-a-days.. PSSH! The F-bomb is the least of our worries. (I know, I sound like an 80 yo woman! TOO BAD, It's how I was raised) Anyways, Kendare Blake wrote an amazing novel, and I've already started Girl of Nightmares.

In Thunder Bay, Canada... a story of horrific magic occurs. Anna, at the age of 16, was brutally murdered. Ever since her death... She has lived in the same house, stuck there. She has haunted the town for decades, Killing any person that set foot in her house.

Cas has a pretty abnormal job for a boy his age, he also has an unnatural daily life. Research Ghost, Kill ghost, Move. Ever since his father was murdered by the ghost he was supposed to kill, Cas knew he would never have a "normal" life. Cas inherits his fathers Athame, (a dagger of sorts) upon his death. This athame brings great power to those who wield it.

Cas Travels throughout the country with his mother, who just happens to be a superstitious witch and their cat Tybalt. On a tip from one of his ghost informants, he ends up in Thunder Bay to kill Anna. However, Anna is a force that is not to be reckoned with. Cas quickly learns he underestimated her. He thought he was going to come in, quick kill, and get out. Haha. Wrong. The second he lays eyes on her, everything changes. All the rules he ever knew... don't exist anymore. Now there is Friends, Ghosts, and of course Witches.

    1. Oh it was so good! I'm reading GoN right now, so if anyone asks me after I've read them both, without looking at reviews.. I need to be careful! [*The only downfall to reading series closely* SPOILERS!] Send a link when you review!
