From Goodreads:
Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

----------------------------------------

Oh, Jennifer. What have you done to us? I know I'm not alone in my love for Daemon Black. In Obsidian  he was a conceited jerk, but we loved him. And when he showed us his softer, caring side we loved him even more. In Onyx, Daemon is... still conceited. But he's so much more than that. His sweet side was full force and I loved every damn second of it. I even cried, seriously happy cried.

Daemon makes me feel all possessive. No! Back off ladies! He's MINE!

Anyway, Daemon may be the best part of the book, but he's not the only thing that makes it great. Katy is awesome. She's the kind of girl you want to be friends with. And she's a book blogger! I love that Katy is a book blogger. It kind of feels like a shout out from Jennifer. I love Dee, I wish there had been a little bit more of her. Ash was Ash, but a little more civil. Maybe there's a change coming there. I hated Blake[Ben/Bart/Butler/Brad/Bilbo] as much as Daemon did. That's all I'll say about him.

The book was very fast paced and the twists kept me guessing. The one-liners were even better. Everything about this book was great. It was laugh out loud funny, tear-inducing[whether happy or sad], and damn sexy. I don't have one complaint.

Here are some, but not even close to all, of my favorite quotes:
-"Resistance is futile, Kitten" -Daemon [insert swoon here]
-"Daemon was a total babe, but he was stab-worthy" - Katy
-"Yeah, it was just books." - Katy [she gets us]
-"Dog-eared pages were Antichrist of book lovers everywhere." -Katy [AMEN!]
-"If there is anything, there is us." -Read it to find out....

And one final quote:
"Deadly and sweet- that was what Daemon was; two very different kinds of souls rested in him, fused together."
Yes.

P.S. Is anyone else wondering that the hell Daemon wrote on the note he caught Katy & her friends passing in class? I bet it was good.
